Director Maruthi was flooded with congratulatory notes and calls from the likes of Allu Aravind, Dil Raju, Bellamkonda Suresh and KS Rama Rao on the day Ee Rojullo hit the screens on March 23. It is 50 days in 53 centres and the director, who struggled a lot to make it to the top, takes stock of the whole experience.
"I will be always indebted to the audience. I was jittery on the first day", he recounts. Set to make another youthful entertainer, he thanks his producer, Bellamkonda, for giving him complete freedom. "Though he said that budget was no constraint and that I could select a big star, I chose otherwise. I believe in the strength of the script. He has dates of many big stars with him, but he was game when I said that I want rope in new actors", Maruthi says.
Maruthi has been appreciated for his sensible job and for leveraging the technology of Canon 5D camera.
